Sources

Where to go when a template is not enough.

Official information

Laws on contracts, tenancy, employment, powers of attorney and inheritance differ from country to country, and sometimes from region to region. The authoritative source is your country's official publication of legislation and the websites of its courts, ministries and public registers.

Professional advice

A lawyer, notary or legal aid office can tell you whether a document is valid for your situation, whether it needs a particular form (for example notarisation, witnesses or registration), and what risks it carries. Many countries offer free or low-cost legal advice for people on a limited income.

Why we do not quote laws

AnAgreement does not cite specific statutes or promise that a document meets them. Laws change, and a quotation without advice on your circumstances can mislead more than it helps.
